oh my. words cannot descibe that prince concert last night. all i could say was “this shit is crazy…” first of all, a sista had 4th row seats. you heard it right. 4th row, baby. I’m up in the front trying to catch the man’s sweat. oh holy gracious. you could hate every prince song ever made, but if you went to the concert, i guarantee you’d be feelin’ him. He did this whole medley of his old stuff… you know, sign o’ the times, shhh…, controversy, i feel for you, the beautiful ones, etc.. then he left the stage like it was over. people were screaming and clapping for a good 10 minutes, and he came back on, just him and his guitar and did little red corvette, 7, and sometimes it snows in april acoustic. off the chain!! he did a whole bunch of funk/blues stuff too like:

He ended with a 10 minute version of purple rain. I almost died. Definitely in the top 3 moments in my life. Up there with being born. It was ridiculous. Please please please if you ever get a chance to see Prince ( JUSTIN!!! you fool!) go see hiim. I’m leaving out a bunch of details, I’m still trying to get it straight in my head. I’ve left you with a couple songs off the new CD on the radio.blog. Call My Name is now one of my favorites. Enjoy.

You know, Prince was in town this last Saturday. I went to see David Spade doing standup at the Silver Legacy instead, for free. My chiropractor and I were discussing weekends on Monday, he went to the Prince concert, and said he wasn’t impressed. He only sang like 5 old songs, and everything else was this weird new age something or other. I’m happy you had a good time though. Maybe I’ll download a Prince song or two in your honor. Boss finally gave me an AirCard, so I’m live from I-5 near Sacramento on my way home to Reno. My wonderful co-worker is driving. Bye.
Tell your chiropractor he’s on crack. for real. He did all old songs when I went yesterday… but this was the official kick off of the tour. The Reno show was like a warm up or something. Yeah, download soem prince or I’ll find you and steal your AirCard
Is the "funky chips" song recorded somewhere? Is there a name for it? We’ve been trying to find out what that was. We saw Prince at his Omaha concert. It was, of course, excellent!
