Officially deemed the new love of my life, ladies and gentleman, is John Legend.
If you haven’t heard his CD yet, you’re a fool. A damn fool. It came out a while ago, and I’ve had it for a while, so no, I’m not jumping on the “John Legend is cool because he’s opening for Alicia Keys” bandwagon. I been liked him. lol
So, if any of you know John Legend, I’d appreciate an introduction. I’m going to see him with Stephanie when he comes to San Diego in August. Hell, I might have to catch the LA shows, too. Damn that’s a good CD. Definitely a 5 out of 5.
In other CD news…
Mariah Carey’s new CD is actually good. It’s not all Charmbraclet-y or Rainbow-ish. It actually has substance! Go Mariah! But she kinda startin’ to look like Beyoncé, ain’t she? She’s like… Maraiancé. She pretty much lost my interest after Butterfly. It was all downhill after that. But this new CD is good. For those hesitant to buy the whole CD and just want the best tracks off if iTunes, I recommend the following:
Classic Mariah ballads: We Belong Together (the lastest single) and Joy Ride (my favorite song on the CD), and Mine Again
Uptempo stuff she usually can’t pull off but manages to do pretty well: It’s Like That (the first single), Say Somethin’ (i don’t know why I like this one. it’s just catchy!), and Your Girl.
It’s one of those “i don’t really ahve to skip any songs” CDs. Well, maybe the one with Twista, just because he’s kinda annoying sometimes, but other than that, I give it a 3 out of 5.

I still find it amusing that you like Mariah Carey but I’ve heard not only from you but from listeners on the radio that her CD is actually good. You gotta burn me a copy. Thanks.
Now I know I’m not the only one who noticed your redesign !
It’s adorable… very "Jilly from O’side."
I’m working on the John Legend tickets at Elysée Montmartre… I’ll keep you posted. You may have to come here for a weekend or somethin’.
Kisses !
Thanks, honey! If the John Legend concert is on a weekend, I’ll totally fly out.
Just let me know!
