The Friday Four #6 – On The Daily Edition

9/12/2005

You can tell a lot about a person from their daily habits. Here’s to getting to know you, loyal reader!

1. What’s the first thing you do when you get home from work?
2. Shoes and socks: how do you put them on? (Sock, shoe, sock, shoe… sock, sock, shoe, shoe?)
3. Fixation: what’s your little habit you never realize you’re doing until someone points it out?
4. Groundhog’s Day: Is your life the same script every day?

Happy 15 Days Until Chrismahaunakwanzaka, and happy Friday! As usual, post in the comments :)

Jordan Knight Presents….

8/12/2005

New Kids On The Block – The Remix Album as performed by none other than Mr. Jordan Knight. All of their hits, all in one voice. Listen to a sampling on iTunes.

NKOTB, bitches'' align=

Not only does he sing all the parts (even Joey’s high-pitched pre-pubescent parts), he’s also managed to remix “Hangin’ Tough” into a tolerable beat, but then manages to cut himself back down with the lyric “…get on the floor and do the New Kids dance!” It’s the best thing since SARS!

But that’s hardly the end of the Jordan Knight update, folks. He’s also on tour! Unfortunately, he won’t be coming to San Diego, but we can catch him at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano! Where is that, you ask?

Exxxxactly.

I think I might go, just for shits and giggles. And he’s not touring alone, kids. No no no, joining him on this star-packed blue-eyed soul r&b excursion is none other than Bryan Abrams. Who’s that, you ask? Here’s a hint: “Dream on, dream away, I think I’m gonna have to staaaaaay, staaaaay forever.” Color Me Badd, bitches! He was the only one that could really sing anyway. Also joining Jordan and Bryan is Jeff Timmons – former 98 degrees bandmate. He’s the other cute one that’s not a Lachey.

They should call it “The Nostalgia Tour”. That would be perfect. I must say, it’s dope that they’re still out there doing the music thing. I would think they would be realtors or computer programmers by now. G’on, do your thing Nostalgia Boys. See you in San Juan Capistrano!

Peach Smints

7/12/2005

Peach Smints
What can I say about Peach Smints. They’re the best thing ever. So good, in fact, when Kelly introduced them to me, I was convinced it was the reason we met in the first place.

They’re peach. They’re mints. They’re smints!! And, if you recall, peach is my favorite flavor. I asked Kelly if it was possible for me to crush up a box of ‘em and make Kool-Aid. Or snort it. Yes, they’re that good.

So far, they only seem to be available at Smart and Final. But I highly encourage all of you to relieve your morning coffee breath with a Peach Smint. It’s the best thing ever, I said!

December

6/12/2005

Only in San Diego does a December morning look like this:

Palm Trees

Those are the two palm trees right outside my apartment. Beautiful, yes, but also a pain in the ass. When all the “good” parking is taken, I have to park under these bad boys. Usually, that’s not a problem, but if it’s drizzling or rainy in the morning, my car gets covered in this brown sap and dirty water. And God forbid it happens on a day when I don’t get in my car at 7:30AM. That shit is impossible to remove.

But it sure is pretty.

Good While It Lasted…

5/12/2005

So after 8 months of “doin’ big thangs” and being “grown up”, I’ve decided to throw in the towel. I’m movin’ back home, bitches. Living on your own in the most expensive housing market in the nation (thanks, Justin!) just isn’t easy. Is it worth the stress of getting in debt and trying to get extra jobs here and there so I can live in my “roompartment”? Is it worth the sleepless nights wondering whether or not you’re gonna be able to pay rent? Hell no, it’s not! So, back to my momma I go. It was good while it lasted. Sigh.

Anybody need a couch from Ikea?

“Why everything thats supposed to be bad make me feel so good?
Everything they told me not to is exaclty what I would” – Kanye West, Addiction

Here at ItsHolly.com, we looooooove excess! Especially if it’s deep fried. Chances are, if you’re doing it in excess, you’re addicted – so let’s talk it out in the comments.

1. What’s your worst habit?
2. Are you addicted to TV? Which shows?
3. What’s the one thing you would never want to be addicted to?
4. And, the polar opposite, what’s the one thing you wouldn’t mind being addicted to?

Happy Friday!

The Thursday Three #4

1/12/2005

Since we missed last week’s Friday Four, today we’re going to participate in the Thursday Three, which will be followed by tomorrow’s regularly scheduled Friday Four.

Since it is the first day of December (Happy December!), today’s Friday Four Thursday Three is in to honor one of the best reasons for the holidays – the food.

1. If you could have all of your favorite foods in one meal, what would the meal consist of (from appetizer to dessert)?
2. Peanut Butter – chunky or smooth?
3. And, in honor of Krissi, what is your all time favorite flavor?

You know the drill – answer in the comments. Happy Thursday, and Happy December!
