Finally… mission accomplished! I finally met up with Justin on 06/17 while he was up in the “O.C.” visiting his grandmother. He came down to San Diego and we ate at Sushi on the Rock. He proclaimed it the best sushi he’s ever had. I proclaimed him correct. Stupid me forgot to take pictures… but here’s what we had:

I’ve liked Nikka Costa for a while now. She came out with a track a few years back called Like A Feather – I still bump it. She has a new album out – Can’tneverdidnothin.
My two favorite tracks so far:
Til I Get To You – sweet and funky. the lyrics are cute.
I Gotta Know – reminiscent of fiona apple at first. true lyrics. very different from Til I Get To You.
Listen. Love it. She’s playing with Van Hunt at the end of the month. Who wants to go?
