I finally made the leap and bought a digital SLR.

It’s the amateur’s professional camera. I didn’t want to commit $1200+ to something I would stop doing in 3 or 4 months, and the point-and-shoot just wasn’t getting the job done, so the Canon Rebel XT was the solution.
See:
I mean, my pictures from the point-and-shoot were pretty damn good, but the rebel is sooooo much better. I’ve also figured out that I’m really bad shooting indoors because I have yet to learn the intricacies of lighting and ISO and all those other technical terms I know nothing about. I’ll stick to the great outdoors.

The lighting on those look great already. I have encounted the same frustration. Wanting to understand, but not willing - yet - to take the time to learn. Another thing you can teach me in a few months.
Ooh… so pretty! If you can find one that makes me look buff both indoors AND out, we’re in business!
