The Friday Four #22 – Working for the Man Edition

Holy shit, a Friday Four?! Heck yes it is!!

As most of you know, I work a lot, and when I’m not at work, I’m at home thinking of things I need to do for work. This wouldn’t occur with a job that sucked, hence today’s (long awaited) Friday Four.

1. What’s better: a job you love that pays dirt or a job that’s ridiculously boring but pays well.
2. Would you ever quit over an annoying coworker?
3. Describe your most perfect job ever.
4. Everyone pays their dues, whether it’s fast food or retail. How did you pay yours?

    1. Job I love that pays dirt, because eventually, you’ll get the pay you deserve. At least that’s what I keep telling myself.

    2. If it’s a job I love, heck no! but I’d work hard as hell to try to get them fired. If it were a job I cared less about… then I’d still try to get them fired and then quit.

    3. I think touring with John Legend/Prince/Common/Robin Thicke as his personal body oiler would do it. Anything in the music industry where there was lots of interaction with the actual artists would be dope.

    4. I paid 3 years at Subway (on a military base, nonetheless) and two years at Bed Bath and Beyond. Fuck them bitches. ‘Til this day, I still can’t step into a Subway without throwing up in my mouth a little.

    1. Def. a job I love that pays dirt. I know a lot of people that have well paying jobs but are constantly looking for new workplaces. Not fun.

    2. No. I’ve learned to ignore.

    3. Working with my bestbud on a line and having it be a huge success!

    4. I’ve done County of San Diego, GAP, Ikea, Pacific Eyes and Tees (that was for a day b/c as we were closing the store, they dealt drugs), Blockbuster, Marketing, Production Design… and then all those internships. Yikes. I’m a job whore.

    2. No – I’d just talk about him/her with everyone else he/she annoyed. They are usually the one you can make fun of.

    3. Being self-employed and running your business on the internet. No boss and no employees.

    4. I was slinging sandwiches with you at Subway. I was also a cook for 3 years prior to that. Rough times, let me tell you!

    3. that ive had, or that i want? if ive had the perfect job, i’d still be there now. if i want a perfect job, it would be running my own architecture firm, making sound buildings.
    4. man, you name it, ive done it:: working on cars, pushing grocery carts, mopping bathrooms, IT data administrator, sound engineer, web designer, having sex with elderly women, waiting tables..
    ..oh wait, scrach that last one.
