The Friday Four #32: Workin’ Workin’ Workin’ Day and Night Edition
I work. A lot. And I’ve always worked. A lot. So, let’s recap all those good, bad and ugly experiences in 4 simple questions.
1. How many jobs have you had?
2. Which as been your favorite? Your worst?
3. Have you ever been fired?
4. Right now – do you have a job or a career?
Happy Friday, my friends. See you in the comments…

1. Since I was 14: Subway, Bed Bath & Beyond, Coleman, RWG, CCi, I@, DrJays = 7
2. DrJays, by far, has been my favorite. Probably because it pays more than my first 3 jobs combined. And I kinda get to call some shots.
Subway, by far, was the worst job EVER. I’ve been permanently scared from ever eating a sandwich there again. I can’t even walk past a Subway without throwing up in my mouth a little.
3. Nope! But I’m sure it’s crossed someone’s mind…
4. I think DrJays could potentially be a career. We’ll see how this next year pans out, but I still call it a “job”.

1. Started at 15 – McDonald’s, Uncle Suzy’s (ugh, don’t ask – ok, it was a carnival food themed restaurant – so lame!!!), Army, Delta Airlines, Subway, I@, Self-employed.
2. Worse was Delta cause I was on the phone all day, best is now working for myself.
3. Never been fired but I used to wish I would be at a few of my jobs.
4. I guess I’d classify it as a career since I still have to answer to people. But I’m working towards answering to no one but myself – I can’t wait!!!

1. Ok… Legoland, Bed Bath and Beyond, SDSU COX Arena, Claim Jumper, XM Works, Novavision, the French Government, BNP Paribas, Sofitel, Disney = 10 (that I can remember, although I did BB&B twice, and Legoland three times…).
2. Favorite is by far Disney, with the worst being a nice tie between the other 9. Cox Arena was pretty bad; mainly because it was minimum wage.
3. Nope! But I was almost deported from France while working for BNP Paribas… apparently my visa was denied but they never sent the letter…
4. A career… I hope. I say that because I love it now and I don’t want to have to go through another 9 jobs to get to this point again.

1. Target, Scolari’s, EDI Support, Office Max, West Teleservices, The Phone Store, Sprint, and Alltel – so that’s 8.
2. My fav is my current, minus the overnight travel. Unlike Eartha, I loved the call center environment, and West Teleservices was a close second. The worst was EDI Support, as I had to do all these technical reports I didn’t understand and always messed them up – I think that has partially contributed to the hair loss I’m suffering from today.
3. Just once, from Target – my first high school job. I loved to talk to people, and double scan their items – too frequently I guess.
4. I have a career, provided I can maintain the sanity of frequent travel.
