will I go out every monday night? no. as fun as it was, it made a monday night feel like a friday night, which is never cool when the next day is actually a tuesday. but i’ll be back, brass rail. your 80′s night rocks. thanks for the pics miggies. see more here.

Why is it the best day ever, you ask? Two reasons:

1. Best sister ever got me a ticket to see Maxwell. I’ve literally been waiting to see Maxwell live since I was 14. Literally, seriously, in every way possible. He’s one of the few people left on my list of artists to see before I (or they) die. The only people still on the list: Aretha, Stevie, Sade and Bjork. I should probably get pushin’ on Aretha… she’s one deep-fried ham and cheese sandwich away from the inevitable.

2. I sold my old Sigma 70-300mm f4.8 lens and got a new Canon 50mm f1.8.

See all that bokeh? Usually that’s stuff I have to photoshop, but now I have a decent lens that actually DOES that. Oh f1.8/50mm lens, where have you been all my life.

I did a Would You Rather version of the Friday Four a while back, and thought it would be fun to revisit it… especially since I haven’t done a Friday Four since the beginning of August (my bad, dog).

So, would you rather:

1. get uglier -OR – get dumber
2. not have internet access -OR- not have a car
3. get cut 1000 times and then rolled in salt -OR- have each of your finger nails ripped off 1 by 1 (thanks shanti)
4. be able to fly -OR- have telekinetic abilities
